DIY or Installed
Our disabled ramps are fitted by experienced nationwide installers in a few hours. They are also available as a kit delivered to your door for self assembly. The design has no bounce when used, and is suitable for both powered and manual wheelchairs, and scooters.
Modular Build
Bolt together design for great adaptability. Ramps and steps can be used off the same platform, or as standalone units with no platform. Fitting to tight or irregular spaces is possible, simply by cutting individual parts on the job.
Unique Feature
Using the BetterHomeAccess unique angled placement feature allows disabled ramps to avoid obstacles, and fit where no other semi-permanent wheelchair ramp can. Ramps can be attached to platforms, or fitted to doorways exactly as needed.
Attractive & Functional
Hard wearing and extremely slip resistant fibreglass mini mesh marine decking, with a 50 year life expectancy. The wheelchair ramp and platform decking can also be extended into the doorway for a seamless fit to the door threshold for level access.
Bespoke Design Modular Disabled Ramps
Our wheelchair access ramps feature bolt together parts that can be arranged and cut to fit any location. Each wheelchair ramp we supply fits the space and need exactly. The end result is an installation customised to the needs of the client and the available space. On the other hand our competitors use generic welded sections that cannot be adjusted to the clients needs.
Custom Sized Platform With Two Wheelchair Ramps
In this project access was needed along the path, and at the same time provide disabled access to front and back without extending off the curb into the parking area. To achieve this we installed a platform, level with the door threshold, that was exactly the width of the path, and added narrower than normal ramps on both sides. Handrails on the outer edge finished the project. This was installed in 1/2 day.
Shared Doorway Platform
Here is a shared porch area where we have extended our modular platform into the porch to effectively raise the whole floor and provide level access to both homes at the same time. In this case both units also share the one BetterHomeAccess ramp. We also can do the same thing to provide space for wheelie bins, mobility scooter storage etc.
We Are Creative
A combination of modular platform, adjustable rise steps and handrails, together with a aluminium suitcase ramp, gave this client the freedom he needed to get his disabled wife out and about, without extending the equipment into the garden further than they wished. Most wheelchair access is a compromise between the realities of the health situation and the wish to minimise the impact on day to day living. With clear direction from the client and health professional, we can make that wish a reality.
